ಮುತ್ತಿನ ತೋರಣ
This is a lovely Kannada TV serial by Vaishali Kasarvalli and team. Interesting story line and very nice casting.
The story is about a lower middle class family which has four sisters, the father is caught in a debt trap by a rich man. All four sisters are very gifted. First one is teaching in a school, the second loves her father and is working for the rich man silently putting up with all his nuisance, the third one is college going student and the last one is a deaf and dumb but a brilliant painter.

The four daughters are named along with Four ragas of Carnatic Music ( no wonder a sangeetha master would do that). Vaman Rao Joshi(played by KSL Swamy) works in a private company who is the father of these four daughters.
1. Kalavathi – Played by Lakshmi Hegde
2. Madhuvanthi – Ananya Kasaravalli
3. Poorvi – Mahalakshmi
4. Savani – Roopa
There are other characters in the serial which are worth a mention here.
1. Mama of the four sisters – A lucky guy with lot of innocence with everything he does, denotes the values a human should posses. This person was there in Vyshali’s previous serial Moodalamane (the one who marries a widow shantha in MM).
2. Ajji of the family – This was done by the moodala mane ajji till few episodes and now comes some other lady who does it equally good. Even here she doesn’t do that “Madi Ajji” kind of role instead becomes a role model to the rest of the elders(An assertive and thoughtful person) … The leadership quality in her is the esteem.
3. Mother of all the girls (Anasuya)- Enacted by Girija lokesh, I think Vyashali has done a wonderful job thinking of having this character picturised the way it is. The whole family is balanced by this character, Many of the ladies in such middle class families do balance out the financial, and emotional needs of the family. Such a whole hearted lady she is and helpless too. I specially like the way she convinces poorvi. Also the point to be noted is the swaabhimaana she has got (doesn’t take free help anytime).
4. Rahul the boss – Such a lovely role that any girl will fall in love with, looks like all the girls in the family is compiting with each other to do that :-). Guess Madhuvanthi is the lucky girl. The conversation between Madhu and Rahul (during one of the their meets when he convinces her to take up some correspondance course) was such a motivation to anybody.
Rahul has a sister who is mentally disturbed, Looks like she is separated from her husband and her 20 year old daughter..
5. Deepak – The Music Lover (Businessman by profession) who is now bringing up the
album for kalavathi. Depicts the responsible businessman yet a gentleman!! and the brother of this guy denotes more or less some part of the youth of this era…
The story line is really good and the dialogues too, Vyshali and his team is doing good work and I wish them good luck….
Noted Novelist Smt. Videhi has penned the title song which is beautifully sung by Smt. Sangeeta Katti. Apoorva kasaravalli takes a part of his mother vyshali’s role by sharing the direction.

The title song is good. Story line is good. But still I feel the whole story is a bit old pattern. Can’t accept that some family is undergoing this kind of life in this age – especially that of Madhuvanti’s ‘jeeta’ in Anantaiah’s house. Otherwise it’s a neat serial – no extra emotions.
The ajji of Moodalamane fame who was in this serial initially is supposed to have been paralysed. The new one is good too – but we would have prefered the other granny.

Its coming out very well. True , that the family is a lil bit old patterned , but there are still such families in north Karnataka i think, may be a handful.

I think we should not assume that the serial is made with the contemporary age!
I know Madhu’s ‘jeeta’ is quite old fashioned but I guess there are people who would exploit such opportunity (few take small girls from village to take care of their children) even now…

Yea – we can think that story setting is not contemporary with respect to Madhu’s family. But you can see that in all other characters it is today’s world. The fellow who wants to introduct Kalavathi’s talent to the world who always carries a laptop with him, his gift to Kalavthi being a mobile, his new age brother etc etc are so much part of our world isn’t it?

Its not so surprising if I tell you that such ‘old-custom-following-families’ do exist today, may be not with such innocence.
If that was the case, one of the daughter’s would have joined a ‘BPO’.. I know I know the mother will never agree about their daughter working in night shifts.! 🙂
I personally didn’t like yesterday’s story.. Joshiyavaru being so careless about that 1 lakh rupees.

12th April 08 – Gist of the story
Bit 1 – Madhu is convinced that she should not go to work at Ananthaiah’s house.
Bit 2 – Rahul calls joshi and suggests that he should pay off ananthaiah’s debt by enacashing the cheque that he would give and not allow Madhu to work there. He also reveals that madhu was assulted by A’s wife seetha to which joshi responds with mere surprise.
Joshiji carries the cash in one small bag(which we use it for tarakaari shopping) and he dreams about giving the cash to Ananthaiah and bringing back Madhu from there. Meanwhile he keeps the cash in his hand which provokes some rowdy nearby to loot it.
Joshiji feels aghast and fails down on the spot.
Bit 3 – There is some clash between the brothers (the fellow who is interested to make kalavathis album and his brother) about the money etc., In the next scene, he gifts kalavathi a mobile and teaches her to operate it. Kalavathi doesn’t seem to have any interest in the gift later gets convinced from him to carry it , as in a way it helps him to track her during the music recording etc.,
Rahul brings home Joshi and the confusion prevails at home…

Yesterday it was mainly related to Kalavathi.
Rahul meets Madhu somewhere outside and comes to know that she has decided to go back to work as “Jeethadhaalu”.
Deepak tells kalavathi that he will pay 3 lakhs in 3 installments and she is very happy and come home and decides that one lakh will be used to release MAdhu from that Baldy’d house( I am not sure his name). She calls Deepak to ask him if he can give 1 lakh immediately, but the call is received by Deepak’s hippy brother and that fellow abuses Kalavathi on taking undue advantage of his brother and she is trying to extract money from him in unethical way. Kalavathi is upset, tears flow and she rejects the singing offer and avoids Deepak.
The above is summary of yesterday. But the day before even I missed 😦

Day before yesterday, Anantaiah visits Madhu’s home to find out why Madhu has not been coming to his house. So Madhu’s mother says when as parents they have not beaten their children how could Anantaiah’s wife slap Madhu. Anantaiah is aplogetic about the incident. But both Madhu’s mom and granny say clearly that they wouldn’t send Madhu to work. Without any choice Anantaish says ask your husband to make arrangement to pay his loan and leaves the place.
Anantaiah tells his wife that she would have to settle for hotel food as Madhu wouldn’t be coming anymore.
Kalavathi signs contract for the music album and very glad about the money she would be getting out of it.

I could connect very well with today’s episode.
Today I saw from bit 2, I missed bit1 as my brother was watching IPL match 😦
Bit 2 – Kalavathi is totally adament and refusing to sing(despite Vivek requesting her) and asks him get away from there without forcing/disturbing her(Too much from her side, she infact should be indebted for his help but she is acting too much I feel).. Later Vivek seeks help from her dad and gets an assurance from her dad that she will be convinced.
Another story w.r.t Rahul and his sister. She comes and tells Rahul that she did see her husband shekhar(infact she sees one person with french beard who just passes away in front of her despite she continuously trying to stop him) but Rahul refuses to beleive that Shekhar has come to bangalore. She insists that he checks with RTO and find out the address from the vehicle number which she gives …

Hmm.. right there are lot of such things happening these days.. the strange things.
1. Deepak being so courtious and pleads Kalavathi for singing. while his mother is already thinking to issue the notice to her(which is quite practical – 75lakhs is not a small money)
2. Family tolerating Ananthaiah and his wife’s dabaaLike (his mothers character is too good, she taunts them like how they do it for joshi’s family)
3. Rahul offering 1 lakh to joshi and the latter loosing with such a carelessness.
4. Rahul’s sister’s behaviour in the police station (and also near that big bunglow) and the ladies inside… (too much)
What ever it is, the serial just hooks you on the sofa for 30 minutes alva?
They have picturised the characters very well, representing few set of people around the society. The harsh ones, the bold ones, the soft ones, the helpless ones etc., which lot of people would be able to relate…

Like the observation before, Purvi’s expressining her feeling in front of her sister is little unrealistic. What happened to MAdhu’s studies all of sudden it has taken a back seat.
Last sister’s role…sometime she understands everything very clearly and sometimes the other roles suddenly remember that she has hearing impairment and then use sign langauge.
After meeting Deepak, the 2 sisters did not even bother to update kalavathi, that all the drama by Deeraj happened without his brother’s knowledge, he was very apologetic etc. they just kept quiet. That seems little messy.

Friday: Vaman Rao’s wife accepts 1 lakh as advance from the real estate goon. But her mom-in-law is unhappy about it. She has sleepless night – goes down her memory lane – time when she entered the house as a bride, her fond memories with her husband etc etc. It was nice to see that – to imagine the old lady in her teens.
Anantaiah’s mother has great plans for him. Can’t see her son suffering because of his wife who is restricted to wheel chair. Cooking something in her mind probably about Anantaiah and Madhu.

Episode at Joshi’s home is becoming so boring, they just keep on discussing the same things every now and then.. I don’t think that house will ever get sold till the end of the serial.

Scene 1 – That girl whom Rahul’s sister is behind explains his dad about all the happenings during the previous week. About both Rahul and his sister visiting her and the police complaint etc., The dad(Stanley or Shekar) makes a surprising face and suggests not to entertain them again
Scene 2 – Rahul talks to Madhu.. suggests to come out of all her inferiority complexes and be bold. Madhu expresses her inability to express her thoughts and says that she is not so beautiful, educated etc., Rahul replies that beauty lies inside not external beauty is not something which he looks in and boosts her morale saying “neeve eshTu chennagideera antha nimage gottilla”
Scene 3 – Deepak is happy that kalavathi is singing in his album. His mother tries to advice him to marry that girl who have agreed to gift them a benz car! He says he is not interested bla bla.. He is driving down and meets that uncle(who brought that proposal) and talks to him about kalavathi. He expresses his wish to marry her. He also requests him to talk to joshi and family about that as kalavathi is totally unaware about this. Also suggests to talk to her mother about the same

Our Hero Rahul enters the scene and tells Joshi family that he will take care of builder and these people need not worry. The heroines Madhu & Purvi are happy that thier prince is doing this help.
Builder comes to Joshi’s House in midnight in a inebriated state & threatens Joshi to sell of the house or pay 5 lakhs. As usual Joshi is afraid of everything and the whole family group together and start worrying 🙂
RAhul tells Joshi that he will speak to builder & solve the issue.
I am not sure if anything else happened. I was channel browing 🙂 (I saw that marriage broker speaking to joshi …..but not sure why?

Marriage broker comes to talk about a good proposal he has for Kalavathi. But since he sees that Joshi and his wife are worried right now about how to save their house and not in mood to think of Kalavathi’s marriage, he says he would comeback again once they are out of their current problem.
Rahul and Joshi are planning to visit the builder during lunch time that day – which would be our Monday night next week:)

@Anand, Then I think that selective generosity fairly exists around. But I have noticed that this fellow has a patient ear and helping hand for almost everybody.
The otherday, joshi comes to office very late and an important consignment was due to be sent.. Rahul will working with other coworkers to complete that .. Joshi comes and apologises .. Rahul shows little bit of “professional” anger towards Joshiji later he forgets everything and says, “mikkidanna maaDi kaLsibidi”..

I agree with you.
Anbody who offers to help the needy needs to be appreciated. Though there might a motive behind the helping hand. It is much better than people who pretend to offer help but actually do not do so, but with ulterior motives. Atleast this fellow does not seem to have bad intentions !!!
If somebody really helps without any expectations then he/she will be like god !!!!
Only very few can actually be like “Karmanye Vadhikaraste Ma Phaleshu Kadachana”

Well, I see what you are saying. Generally it happens that we help(or do the needful to) few people we know (friend or relative or whosever) so it implicitly works out as a step towards relationship improvement/management… Not too sure if you define even that as a motive. I think thats a fair expectation! ashtu maadidru bekaadashtu..
Many a times we help people for our aathma trupti(self satisfaction), for eg., helping somebody to study or get some medical benefits.. This may not get back any favour/benefits from that person but ya it gives us some personal satisfaction.. without any expectations antha ee category na categorise maadbahudalva?

Sudden twist in the story.. Today Madhu’s mother comes and throws that 1lakh (which the rowdy builder paid) on A’s face. and A still enact innocence with seetha to take the benefit of doubt about the proposal which he made with Madhu.
Deepak almost conveyed to his mom about his intentions…!
I wish that story doesn’t revolve around the rowdy builder and the Joshi’s family now.. thats a boring thing in the whole serial. Instead they can throw some light on Rahul’s sisters flashback 🙂

The director should ask Girija Lokesh portraying Anasuya’s character not to color her nails in future episodes. Yesterday’s episode we saw her with gaudy red color nail enamel. It is awful. She has to live up to her character in the serial, a low middle class family home maker.

Rahul lent 1 lakh and he is sighting Madhu,
Deepak lent one lakh and sighting Kalavathi.
Unfortunately Ananthaiah also lent one lakh but he did not read the small prints “Terma & conditions apply” so he failed.
Now there is 2 more oppurtunities for bachelors to lend one lakh. Purvi & her sister are in line!!! 🙂 anyways Joshi always has handful of problems, so he is in need of money anytime.

One thing in Muthina Thorana I did not understand. Joshi’s family has not contacted any broker for their house sale. How come this broker arrived? Nobody turning towards him even after so much happened just because of him. And Joshi loosing 1 lak is very silly. A poor man will try to secure the money. But in this serial just to take one deviation, this guy takes out all money in the public place and starts dreaming till money gets snatched.

Veena, one more thing that I have noticed in serials these days(i usually see only those which are in south indian languages) is that a character which is seen so sober in one serial is seen dominating in another …that adds to the woes of the viewers….bcos they usually have a kind of perception about an artiste, atleast going by the role portrayed by them in a serial which they like the most…that gets faded when simultaneously-telecasted-serials have a same artiste…
We hope to see Lakshmi Hegde and many other “naturally-expressive” artistes in only one serial at a time…atleast in the time slot that we watch.. 🙂

In the serial, they could have even sold off the house right? there is nothing wrong in doing so also. they could have rightly used it for their better living …. clearing all their debts n doing their 4 daughter’s marriage n all.
He could have even demanded more than the usual market price .”Appa hakida aalada marakke neenu haki kollokke agutha?: anno gaade thara …… when he is struggling for their basic needs in the daily life, wat better can they do with just a big old house.
I personally feel there is nothing wrong in selling ancestral property. But it need to be rightly used aste.

@sumalatha, what you say makes sense here. But the emotional attachment that we develop for such possessions like home is very big and selling that is a real difficult task. Thats the difference between a house and a home!

Bit 1 – Ananthaiah and his mother are talking about his second marriage proposal. The mother says that there is somebody who is willing for the second marriage and advices him that he sees that girl and finalises that one with an YES.
Bit 2 – Deepak talks to her mom and requests her to come to Joshiji’s house with regard to his and kalavathi’s marriage proposal(heNNu noDuva shastra) and the brother dheeraj rejects to join them for that. Deepak rings on kalavathi’s mobile and asks her to meet him by ‘Chakkar hodi’ her class/school for which kalavathi responds that she may not be able to come and totally ends the phone call by saying.. Alli hogi japa maaDtha kUthiri, yaavadaadru sundri sigbahudu.
Bit 3 – channel changed to some cricket channel and I couldn’t watch 🙂

Now I have to disappoint Stella also, in addition to Poorvi 😦 In one of the earlier episodes (the first time I visited Madhu’s house), even Savani (the youngest of the four) was also having ಮಧುರ ಭಾವನೆಗಳು about me 😀 By God’s grace, she is not interested in me any more 😦

Bit 3 – Kalavathi school ge chakkar hodidu meets Deepak. She says ee thara yella chakkar hodiyodaadre thumba kashta. Deepak says just one day na! She says if its just for one day then its ok but if it happens daily then thumba kashta. Deepak says kashta aadre bitbidi…..Kalavathi get stunned and says “bitbidoda???” Deepak smiles and says naan heliddu kashta aadre school kelsa bitbidi anta….nannannalla 😀 He says is there any need to work even after marrying him coz their family doesnt need to live with her salary. She says she cant, her family needs her financial support, he says he will help and take care of it, she says adakke avra swabhimaana oppalla….so asks his permission to work even after marriage…he says what’s all this asking permission and all, you will have as much freedom after marriage as much you have now. No need to take my permission. I want a happy relationship, I dont want it to be like I am master and you are slave…she smiles and says thanks and again asks permission to give her salary to her family even after marriage……he suggest that he will become their mane aliya….coz still she was asking permission…..ends happily!

I am so glad that Deepak’s mother and his brother have agreed (maybe by Deepak’s persistance) to take kalavathy as Deepak’s wife. I and my wife Anasuya are very happy about it, although Anasuya is a little nervous about our poverty :-(, and the possible reaction from Deepak’s mother. But my daughter kalavathy is a strong-willed girl and she convinced us that no matter what, Deepak will marry her. 🙂
All this excitement at home, of Deepak and family visiting us asking for kalavathy’s hand, has driven my brother-in-law appanna crazy. He was throwing things around and pretending that he was Bheema holding the ONAKE that he found in a corner. 🙂
We are keeping our fingers crossed (you all do the same, please) hoping for a smooth wedding of Kalavathy with Deepak.

There is happiness in Vamana rao Joshi’s house, and some kind of mixed feelings in Deepak’s house. But in our house, things are very disgusting. My husband (on the instigation from his mother, who has no other business than to watch all E-TV episodes) is getting ready for his 2nd marriage. This afternoon, he was doing his own make-over, by dyeing his hair (what little left of it), his moustache etc. I don’t think (I told him so) he took so much care about his looks when he came to see ME 😦
Anyway, my MIL had a arranged for an old poor man to bring his teenaged granddaughter to show her to my husband. My MIL was promising him that his granddaughter will like a queen in our house. She evn had the audacity to introduce me to them, beacuse that old man was asking whether I agree to my husband marrying the 2nd time. My MIl answered it on my behalf…no prizes for guessing what she told him 🙂

Belgaum: Renukamma Murgod, the septuagenarian theatre, cinema and TV soap artiste, had worked hard all her life to deliver perfect performance on stage and before the camera.
But her economic condition, for somebody who had won several awards, was never good. She had said she could not even buy medicines from the government.
Renukamma began her theatre career when she was 13. During the struggle for independence, her theatre career was at its peak. She had performed in several notable films, such as Shabdavedhi, in which she played the role of Rajkumar’s mother. Her last popular film
was Mandaar Hoove, which starred Shivrajkumar.
She has acted in many TV soaps; the recent popular one was Moodala Mane. During the shooting of a film eight months ago in the city, Renukamma suffered an attack of paralysis. She was taken to her hometown at Murgod in Saundatti taluk. Since then, her unmarried brother Shankar had been taking care of her.
Theatre and film artistes, who at one time used to seek her blessings, all turned their backs. “None of them cared to enquire about her health — even the producer and director of the film on whose sets she collapsed,” Shankar said. She was staying at Murgod in a hut designed artistically by using musical instruments.
Renukamma’s family was not economically sound to get her treated in private hospitals in Belgaum and Bangalore, according to her son Ashok, who works at a college in Hubli. “Bailhongal MLA Jagadish Metgud and assembly Speaker Jagadish Shettar called on her last week and assured some aid from the government, but nothing happened,” Ashok said.
Some philanthropists, the previous week, had helped Renukamma get ayurvedic massage treatment at Ankola in North Kanara district. Some also gave financial help. But the Karnataka Nataka Academy and other organisations did not come to her aid, relatives said.
Renukamma was a recipient of the Gubbi Veeranna Award, Rangshri and others. For a fortnight now, Renukamma was surviving on fluids, and for the past three days, she had almost slipped into a coma, unable to injest any solid or liquid food, said her brother Shankar.

Summary is as follows:
Yes, that Stanley (I don’t like his Kannada pronunciation…very poor. He cannot properly pronounce words that have ಹ-ಕಾರ 😦 ) is Rahul’s BIL…we could have guessed that long time ago. He keeps tellins daughter not to keep in touch with Rahul or his sister.
Madhu is defending her act of taking the police and getting Ananthiah and his mother along with that old man arrested. Her parents also approve of it now. Poorvi is complaining that she cannot study because there is too much noise at home, and she wants to do combined studies.
Kalavathy and Deepak have their usual “discussion” in that park, where Deepak keeps insisting he wants to marry here, and she keeps saying NO…I am sure his presistence will pay off 😀
Ananthiah and his mother are bent up on torturing Seetha. They keep cursing her every second of the day. His mother says that he should divorce Seetha and marry someone else…even if it is just to take revenge on Seetha. The episode ends when Madhu and her father come to Ananthiah’s house when Ananthiah and his mother are abusing Seetha.

Exactly, the way kalavathy compares the rangoli drawing into the phase of life was fantastic. That was awesome, that tells us that everyday we should look out for some optimisitc thing rather than brooding about the past life(the spoilt rangoli)..
and also in another scene, she says.. If we keep eating sweet everyday, then there is no fun so life will be full of sweet and khara.. so true!!

While Poorvi ist still studying for the exam (first one to be shown in the serial), Madhu has already passed her BA in 2nd class!! 🙂

Veena, as far as my knowledge goes, there is correspondence course like I have seen in advertisements that “in single-sitting pass BA/BCom, etc. May be Madhu might have done that in single-sitting, but she might have studied for that exam in her dreams and got a second class degree certificate. This can be written even if you have not passed in PUC.
Deepak is terribly in love, another Devdas in the making.

Even for the “single-sitting” exam, people have to study the full course (if they study only final BA subjects without the first year’s, I doubt they will understand the subject). Moreover, Madhu seems to have passed in only 1 month, or a little more, because the goings on in the serial don’t show that too much time has passed since she started studying (I really haven’t seen her STUDY at all 🙂 Not even in episode have they shown her study ANYTHING), as you can see from Poorvi’s studying..her exams (the first one to be shown on the serial) haven’t even started 😀
One would wonder how someone who couldn’t pass PUC can pass BA in 2nd class by studying for only about a month, with all the other things (cooking, working for Rahul, fighting that cheapskate Ananthiah etc). My experience is that it takes more than a month just to get registered and receive the FIRST lesson by post 🙂
Vaishali Kasaravalli is giving too much importance to her daughter’s role, trying to make her look like someone with an IQ of 350 😀

also, in yesterday’s episode.. the behavior of Deepak in his office was too rude. just for the sake of kalavathy, bashing his office workers & not giving them salary is not a agreeable thing…looked little bit over.
In minchu, SD & family are in such a critical situation. YDS Ship is sinking..still Sarayu was not interested in scolding their office workers. She still begs with shastry & aiyangar.
that shows her “leadership” quality..see, within a month YDS will recover & Sarayu will become GREAT in their family.
Deepak must learn from them.

and we should forget that Vaishali and Ananya are mother and daughter here, instead try to look at as director and an actor.. If you look that way, even Rahul, Deepak, and Vaman Rao is given good roles ..

In yesterday’s episode, the dialogue of Deepak with his mother… “Hogthini..” sounded me in such a way that he is going to “Other” world.. not for abroad. Also, in his office, his behavior looked like his last visit… 😛
But, Still i don’t think Deepak will try to do Suicide. His character is not of that kind.
In today’s episode, you can expect any SEVERE VEHICLE ACCIDENT for Deepak..there is a chances of getting severely injured & after words Doctor will inform his mother that “we did maximum as much as possible, now it depends on god.. you must not hurt him & also don’t go against to his wishes etc” After that his mother will come & request with Kalavathy to save his son..(Hope Kalavathy still wants to marry him)
This serial may be in this way itself..My prediction, want to see what happens .. 😀

ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ನಾನು BA ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಒ೦ದೂವರೆ ತಿ೦ಗಳ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಸು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದನ್ನು ದೊಡ್ಡ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀರಿ? ನಾನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಬೇಗ ಅದನ್ನು ಮುಗಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ. ಆದರೆ, ನಮ್ಮ ಭಾರತದ ಅ೦ಚೆ ಇಲಾಖೆಯವರು ಬಹಳ ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿ೦ದ, ನನ್ನ ಕೆಲವು ಪಾಠಗಳು ನನಗೆ ತಡವಾಗಿ ಬ೦ದು ಸೇರಿದವು. ನನ್ನ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದವರು ಏನಾದರೂ ಸ್ಪೀಡ್ಪೋಸ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ್ನು ಕಳಿಸಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಾನು ಒ೦ದೂವರೆ ತಿ೦ಗಳ ಬದಲು ಮೂರು ವಾರಗಳಲ್ಲೇ BA ಮುಗಿಸಿ, ಇಷ್ಟು ಹೊತ್ತಿಗಾಗಲೇ LAW ವನ್ನು ಕೂಡ ಮುಕ್ಕಾಲು ಮುಗಿಸಿರುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ. 😀

I think each person in the family speaks with a different kannada accent. Ajji speaks in dharwad kannada, madhuvanti speaks in shimoga accent, appana in dharwad kannada. others speak normal mysore kannada. It seems weird to see ppl from same family speak in different accents.

ನನ್ನ ಮೆಗಾ ಧಾರಾವಾಹಿಯ ಬಗೆಗೆ ಬರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳ ಸ೦ಖ್ಯೆ ಇತ್ತೀಚಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳಿಮುಖವಾದ೦ತೆ ತೋರುತ್ತಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ..ಇದೇನು ವಿಪರ್ಯಾಸ…? ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಹಾಲುದೊಡ್ಡಾರಿಯವರ ತೋಪು ಧಾರಾವಾಹಿಯ ಪುಟಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗು೦ಪುಗೂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.. !!! 😀
ಈಗ ಅವರನ್ನು ಇತ್ತ ಕಡೆ ಸೆಳೆಯಲು ನಾನೇನು ಕಸರತ್ತು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆ೦ಬುದೇ ತಿಳಿಯದಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಪರೂಪವಾಗಿ ಬ೦ದ ಅತಿಥಿ ಹರೀಶ್ ರವರು ಕೂಡಾ ನನ್ನ ತಪ್ಪುಗಳನ್ನೇ ಹುಡುಕುವ ಕೆಲಸದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರತರಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ.. 🙂

ಇಬ್ಬರು ಲೇಡಿ ಪೋಲೀಸರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೆ…. ಅಲ್ಲದೇ, ಹೆ೦ಗಸರನ್ನು ರಾತ್ರಿ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬ೦ಧಿಸಬಾರದೆ೦ಬುದು ನನಗೂ ತಿಳಿದಿದೆ.
ಆದರೆ, ಬೇಕ೦ತಲೇ ಆ ಪೋಲೀಸನು ವ೦ಚಕರ ಪರ ಎ೦ಬುದನ್ನು ಬಿ೦ಬಿಸಲು ಆ ರೀತಿ ಮಾಡಿದೆ.., ಪೋಲೀಸನು ಊರ್ವಶಿಯವರ ಬಳಿ ಲ೦ಚ ಪಡೆದಿರಬಹುದೆ೦ದು ಅವನ ವರ್ತನೆಯಿ೦ದ ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೇ..?
ನಿಮಗೆ ಕಲಾವತಿಯವರನ್ನು ಬ೦ಧಿಸಿದ ರೀತಿ ಇನ್ನೂ ಸರಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲವೆ೦ದಾದರೆ, ಇನ್ನೊ೦ದು ಬಾರಿ ಲೇಡಿ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇನ್ಸ್ ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಮಾಲಾಶ್ರೀ ಮು೦ತಾದವರನ್ನು ಬರ ಹೇಳಿ.., ಕಲಾವತಿಯವರನ್ನು ಹಗಲು ಹೊತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲೇ ಪೊಲೀಸು ಸ್ಟೇಷನ್ನಿಗೆ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.. 😀

Have u ever had any previous experience @ police stations? How many police officers are abiding the law themselves? When influential people with money are involved most police officers act according the whims of the biggies. Who knows deepaks mom might have coerced the police to arrest kalavathy as well. Dont jump into conclusions wait for a few episodes and watch. You are talking of responsible police men and finding RAHUL’s in the police dept will be unrealistic. I think Vaishali’s team didnt do anything wrong in depicting a policeman that way. Guess you are just trying very hard to find flaws for the heck of it 🙂

The director of this serial is trying to exaggerate the storyline. Director wants to exaggerate the emotions of Anasuya. Wife bringing water to wash her husband’s legs looks funny & ridiculous. I don’t think such a kind of ladies are there in now a days. Kasaravalli & family are having half knowledge about the traditional Indian culture. According to them Indian culture is limited only upto Teerthahalli & Sagar. Anasuya looks like a living being of another world. she don’t have any idea about police station, police man & court. Anasuya claims that their family is very much dignified & that’s why it’s a great humiliation for them due to arrest.
Now i want to ask a question to the director… Our Freedom Fighters & respected citizens if India..: Mahatma Gandhiji, Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekar Azad, & also even political leaders A.B.Vajpayee, L.K.Adavani stayed in a jail upto months and years without any mistake. Then, what’s the hell for Appanna & Joshi to lounge in a jail upto a week?..another thing is, appanna committed a mistake by walloping dheeraj. so, appanna deserves the punishment.
I know that Girish Kasaravalli & family are such a kind of personalities, such that they want to produce films & serials only for the purpose of awards..

ಹೀಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿದಿನವೂ “ನೈಜತೆ”ಗೆ ಹತ್ತಿರವಾದ ಘಟನೆ ಗಳನ್ನೇ ತೋರಿಸಿದರೆ, ನನ್ನ ಧಾರಾವಾಹಿ ಕೂಡ ನಮ್ಮ ಪತಿದೇವರವರ “ಘಟಶ್ರಾದ್ಧ” ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರದ೦ತೆಯೇ interesting ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ. 😦

I beg to differ from you guys for sure. there are still such innocent people who dont understand many of these stuff and will so damn ignorant that people can easily hoodwink them. May be the number is few.I have come across some in rural areas. When there are tribals who have had no sort of connection with the rest of the world even today. This isnt a rare case. Same case with anasuyamma who is of a older generation. Another attempt huh @ mudslinging just for the sake of criticizing. Come on the kasaravallis have such a great legacy behind, its not like TNS and his shishya dadderi who have just been beating around the bush with stale court sequences/political drama and sofa heating for quite a long time:D

ನಾನು, ಕಲಾ ಮತ್ತು ಅಪ್ಪಣ್ಣ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಜೈಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳ ಖುಷಿಯಿ೦ದ ಇದ್ದೇವೆ. ನೀನೇನೂ ಯೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಡ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸೌಕರ್ಯಗಳೂ ಸಿಗುವ೦ತೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಭಾವೀ ಅಳಿಯರಾದ ರಾಹುಲ್ರವರು ಕ್ರಮ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊ೦ಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸೌಕರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದರೆ (A/C ರೂಮು, ತಿನ್ನುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೃಷ್ಟಾನ್ನ ಭೋಜನ, ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ kurl-on ಹಾಸಿಗೆ, ದಿ೦ಬು, ಹೊದ್ದಿಕೆ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ) ನಮಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮನೆಗೆ ವಾಪಸ್ಸು ಬರಲು ಹಿ೦ದೇಟು ಹೊಡೆಯುವ ಹಾಗಾಗಿದೆ 😆
ನೀನು, ಅಮ್ಮ, ಮಧು, ಪೂರ್ವಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾವನಿ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಆ ಊರ್ವಶಿಯಮ್ಮನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ, ಅವರ ಮತ್ತು ಆ ರೌಡಿ ಧೀರಜ್ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಮಾಡಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೇಸ್ ಹಾಕಿಸಿಕೊ೦ಡು ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೇ ಬ೦ದುಬಿಡಿ 😀

ನನ್ನ ಬಹುದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಎ೦ದರೆ ಮದುವೆ. ರಾಹುಲ್ಲನನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾಗುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ ಎ೦ಬ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ದಿನದಿ೦ದ ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿಡಿಸಲಾಗದ ಕಗ್ಗ೦ಟಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ…. 😦 ನನ್ನ ತ೦ದೆ ಜೋಷಿಯವರಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗದು. ಅವರು ಈಗ ಜೈಲಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸೌಕರ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಮನಸೋತು ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಜೈಲಿಗೆ ಬರಲು ಆಮ೦ತ್ರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಜೈಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಲು ಉತ್ತಮ ವರ ಸಿಗುತ್ತಾನೆಯೇ…? ಈಗ ನಾನೇನು ಮಾಡಲಿ ಎ೦ಬುದು ಮಿಲಿಯ ಡಾಲರ್ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಯಾಗಿದೆ 😦 ?????

Congratulation for entire team such a wonderful story line.
Some how now a days it is littlebit boring. My advice is to do the followings
Try to avoid Ananthai’s & his family episode. Really it’s very boring
Bring Appanna back. Really he is good entertainer for us as well as childrens.
Add more episodes relate love between Kalavathi & Deepak (Really very good pair)
Spects which wearing by Madhuvanthi is very old. Try to replace Or think about something on this.

Amale Rahul’s character is potrayed as too patient, tolerant.. avarige kopa ne baralva…

i think this director is against Call center Workers…I don’t find anything wrong in purvi working in night shifts…But, director is trying to show that call center is a bad place to work. I know that he will end purvi’s story in something “accidental incidents”….

Negativity in Kalavathi’s character still continues. Though she is so good looking, talented, caring, loving, there is lot of negativity portrayed in her character. It’s not fair. It looks like Poorvi’s colleague is Rahul’s uncle’s son………..hopefully.

This soap is becoming very predictible, we are going to see vinivinc story very shortly, our joshi will not get his money back from the company, so he will not have money his daughter’s marriage, hence marriage will be cancelled, on top of this rahul’s uncle will ask for money, then deepak will step in for help and story will keep continuing on the same lines………

I have been watching Muthina Thorana since the beginning. It looked like becoming a good serial. However, the recent episodes are making me think that this serial is also going MINCHU way. Vaishali Akka does not seem to know how to bring this serial to a logical conclusion, things are happening haphazardly. This makes me wonder if it is the SAME Vaishali Akka who gave us the wonderful serial MOODALA MANE 😀 🙂

I agree with Srinivas that VK is beginning to lose the grip on the serial. Looks like VK does not know in which direction to take the story forward. The story seems to go round in circles. Characters and situations are beginning to lose credibility. Unless a course correction is made soon, this will go the way of Minchu.

Muthina Thorana has become another MINCHU 😦 The storyline has become very irritating. Vaishali Akka seems to have NO CLUE as to how to proceed now. Things are happening haphazardly, without any aim. I think THIS serial should have been named GUPTAGAMINI 😀

serial is superb, I like director’s filming skill, actually it is very rare to see in serials -shooting outside, but here i see where ever required it is shot outdoor, and locations are also beautiful. But I feel very sad unexpected death of Rahul, I believe director does not test viewers patience, do not kill Rahul character, if for any reason Rahul (acharya) is leaving MT, bring someone else to that character. But acharya’s performance is outstanding.let’s expect some thing Real happier surprise for MADHU tommorow

Its become so much a part of our family. each character is so unique. The way you extract the talents from all the artists is mind blowing. Any role may b major or minor its dealt to perfection. And I would be sinned if I dont mention about the songs that come in between the serial “nannedeya veeneyali” and “nenapaagi baaradiru” but mam can i somehow get an access to those songs they are simply too good. may i know the poet. mam atleast could u give me an indication as to when it will be broad casted so that i could record it.

Vaishali – Well, I am really surprised you are still hearing all these nice words for this serial which is an ultra drag and downright irritating. How many days will you show a sister moaning in the same ways over the same dead brother, running upstairs, talking to strangers etc. with her daughter wondering all the time in the same way when will all this end? How many days will you show Poorvi’s same old battles? Countless serials were wasted showing Poorvi meeting some useless guy in the backyard, in burkha, in temple etc.(all possible combinations for same story) and secretly giving him money for who cares what reason. What is the great message behind all this secret meetings? And now never ending pointless war for supremacy with her MIL and husband Apoorva. For months we have that same boring handsome boy enacting the same drama of romancing the handicapped, speechless girl with the same annoying background music repeating all the time with Dheeraj coming and watching once a month and feeling angry about lost love.
How many more months will business minded Ananya keep talking about Rahul to whom she was not even engaged? And this great personality is now even firing an employee because he has name Rahul! And that guy, like all others in your esteemed serial, simply will not go away – he keeps acting like a school kid in this age and keeps coming in many episodes crying and begging for the same job as though she is running some Tata or Birla firm. And Kala’s husband “engineer” is another great time pass for everyone – scolding everyone for their “mean” jobs and then doing business with some uneducated goonda who does not brush whatever is left of his teeth and doing great business with him. His story of stupidity will continue for months and months with people watching your serial get dumber and dumber with each day instead of even remotely learning anything useful from any of your supposedly angel characters.
Well, why am I watching all this if it is so bad? Because my family will not switch it off because it is dinner time and feel sorry for them when I hear the same words and same music day after day, month and month being uttered by the same characters with some micro changes here and there. No need to look up to watch TV, it is the same story everyday anyway. I know you are a very senior person to movies, drama etc. and have no need to prove anything anymore but how come your kids do not have the inclination to improve these crap conversations and stories? Why is ETV still giving that prime time to your family? I am pained to see Girish Kasarvalli’s entire family stooping to such low heights to make money. Hope we all get wiser soon and see the day when someone in ETV will wake up to bring down your Mannina Thorana.

I wish Muttina Torana makers read these views. Will someone tell them to repair that dumb girl character? Will someone give her a note pad and a pen so that she writes down what she wants to say? After all she is an educated girl, why should she torture the viewers with her frequent keeeenq keeenq sound every time?

Hi ma’am.. First of all I would mourn for peace of Smt. Vaishali Kasaravalli’s soul who presented such a beautiful daily serial to all Kannadigas.
I am a daily viewer of this serial and also a great fan of all members of Vaman Rao’s family.
But now the problem is with the change in the show timings. 8:30 is a bit too early to watch daily serials especially for employees and of course for students like me. Even though I admit it is not possible, I would like it to be telecasted at 9 instead of at 8:30.

Ananya kasaravalli , I think he lost interest in direction at the end, Hopless direction, We thought he is a gifted director at the beginning, but later he proved it is wrong…….most of us stopped in the middle itself……..injustice for wonderful actors……….good luck for future……

Great serial. As always VAISHALI is a wonderful director. Story and dialogues are good. Cast is excellent. All of them are acting very well. Great going !! The title song sung by Sangeetha Katti is nice. Only only only appreciation for such a great serial.
