Posted on: November 6, 2008

Beans – 64/- per kg

Tomato – 60/- per kg

Capsicum – 78/- per kg.. and the list grows…

People are talking about recession, inflation and I now know what the real effect is…

ಗೆಡ್ಡೆ-ಗೆಣಸು; ಕಸ-ಕಡ್ಡಿ; ಹುಲ್ಲು-ಹಲಸು; etc…

A day will come when Chicken are cheaper than the beans and capsicums.

srik,
probably we should now start preparing curries out of fruits.

Apple saaru, pappaya palya, sapota gojju..
as fruits are pretty cheaper than these vegetables..

@Veena, I just couldn’t believe brinjals were selling at Rs. 80 per kilo! Hope poor farmers made some money at last🙂
Strategy is to use whatever vegetable is available at cheapers prices. And use daals instead of vegetables. Use hurLi kaaLu cheapest of the daals. one day sprouts, next day huLi!

hmm… kashta kashta…
raagi hittu sigthidhya? hangidhre, raagi mudhdhe, neeru saaru (beLe kooda dubaari antha kaelidhe)
naaviro kade akki (sona masoori) sigthaa illa. jasmine thai akki kashta, sadhyakke raagi hittu, godhi hittu kade thirgidheevi.
anna poornesharibhyom namaha

fruits palyagaLu sounds good. sapota gojju – yum yum!

That is the only market which is flourishing no recession in
Tarakari Sector

Ha Ha! Good observation…
so now s/w guys may plan to buy shares in tarakaari market then:-) or write software for these tarakaari vendors..🙂
