Veena, Thanks for the list of songs! I think even my daughter would love to hear to all these! Few more I would like to add to this list is :

ಆಡಿಸಿದಳೆಶೋದೆ ಜಗದೋದ್ಧಾರನ (sung by M S Sheela)
ಸೇವಂತಿಗೆ ಚಂಡಿನಂತ ಮುದ್ದು ಕೋಳಿ (don’t know the movie name)

Also there’s a cassette of songs sung by B K Sumithra’s kids (Somwya and Sunil). They are very good for kids – when they start repeating rhymes. There are host of cassettes available with G P Rajarathnam’s songs, NSL songs too.

I remember , those days it was a radio program by name “MSIL geethegallu”. It was quite popular and had a great contribution in popularising the bavageethey.

Yeah Deepika was penned by Prof. Lakshminarayana Bhatta, music was composed by C Ashwath. Wonderful collection of bhavageethes.

deepika is one of the first compilation of bhAvagItes. IIRC, it came around 1980 or so – most likely after nityOtsava and before bhAva sangama. It was a Sangeetha release. ( I think Master recording company merged now with HMV).

The collection has very nice songs. Music is by Aswath. Singers are Subbanna, Sulochana and Ashwath. Some songs from this which come to my mind are bAre nanna dIpikA, banni bhAvagaLe banni nanndedege, sanje baninanchinalli , toori bA jaari bA, yAru jeevave yaaru bandavaru and malago malagenna mariyE.
